My son just bought what he calls funny t shirts, and I call offensive t shirts. I let him use my credit card to purchase them from an online site because he said that he wanted to get some new t shirts to wear to school. I did not watch over his back while he was ordering, and now think that I should have.

My husband thinks that I am overreacting to the offensive t shirts since a lot of the kids at school wear stuff that is very similar. If the teachers do not say anything about the so called funny t shirts, then my husband thinks that they are not that bad. I am not so sure that I agree.

I went into the office of the school the other day to ask about the dress code policy. I was told that they do not allow anything that would be disruptive to the other students to be worn. I explained two of the offensive t shirts to the secretary and she said that it was not that bad, and it is up to me if my child can continue to wear the funny t shirts that he just bought.

I am not used to not being in control of what my son wears. I realize that he needs to make decisions for himself, and by purchasing his own clothes that he likes, is a way to do that.

As computer technology moves forward every day, something new and better is created. If you bought one of the iseries servers, then there was probably something bigger and better the following day. If there was something better than what you had, wouldn’t you want it? That is not always the case with technology. Some people are very happy with what they have. If it is not broke then do not fix it that is usually the saying.

I had just bought an ibm computer, when the next day they launched a new version of it. I really liked the used ibm that I had gotten at a garage sale. The old owner was probably getting the newer version. I was happy with the used ibm though, there really was not anything wrong with it, other than it was a later model then what was currently out.

So, if it is one of the iseries servers, or a used ibm computer, you need to see if you are comfortable with what you have and then decide if you need the newest and bigger and better thing. Or if what you have is working just fine. If it is working just fine, then I say keep it until it gives you a reason to get rid of it.

If I order a used sun computer, then I get half off of the two used sun servers that I really need for my new office. I was thinking that the servers were going to have to wait until next year, but I can get them now because of this incredible deal that I found online.

The company that I am getting the used sun products from was something that I just stumbled upon one afternoon last month. I had bookmarked it, because I thought that their deals on the used sun computers were really good.

When I returned to place my order, you can imagine how happy I was to see the great deal of half off of the used sun servers on their homepage. I called and told my parents about it, and they said that all the stressing about not being able to afford servers was for nothing then. My mom said that everything works out in the end, and she was actually right this time.

The used sun computer and the two used sun servers were delivered a week later and all are in great working order and I am proud to have purchased them on my own, the only reason I had whined to my parents was because I thought they might offer to pay for them and in the end, they did not need to.

If you think that funny shirts will get you noticed, think about it before you put it on because it may not be a funny shirt to everyone. My sister wears what she thinks are funny t shirts when she is at college but she is smart enough to not wear them when she comes home to visit.

I remember being that age and buying those funny t shirts at the local shops. Of course, my sister gets hers online now, she just sits down at the computer and picks the ones that are the coolest and they are delivered to her door. I wish we could have done that when we were at college.

I remember always walking from store to store and trying to find the funny shirts we had seen on campus earlier that week and wondering where they had gotten them. Now, you just type in something into the search bar and then you just find the color and size you need and then pay shipping and handling.

I am looking forward to my sister graduating from college and throwing away all the funny t shirts that should not be worn to her grandparent’s house. Being young is so fun, but there comes a time and place that we all need to grow up.
