The goal, a tough job by six sigma
Posted by Billy on October 31st, 2008Do the goal changes at all when someone is trained with six sigma programs? What possibly be the difference between a normal high performing professional and a 6 sigma graduate professional? – these are the questions that might arise in your mind.
But the answer is pretty simple. All on the above, we first must appreciate their effort to develop and materialize a module curriculum that can fit in all industries irrespective of organizational hierarchy and their business goals. Yes there is some difference between a normal high performing executive and a graduate from the institute.
A normal high performing executive is performing from his sole understanding and view point perspective, he is using some tools that is personally developed yet lot of testing of such tools performance are not conducted. While the scenario is quite opposite with the graduates. They do deploy some tricks and strategy in bringing their results and they all do it in the best possibly the right way. Yes here is the difference. A high performer can still achieve best result using his capacity – but not necessarily in the right way. A graduate of the program will surely bring the best result by ensuring the right ways. Use of such right ways in various organization contexts is very important.
Your management will not appreciate you to make profit of 20$ spending 100$ but they will appreciate you if you spend 60$ and make profit of 25$ at the same time. This is the difference between Six sigma graduates and normal high performing executives – the goal is not same!
