Preparing used cars for sale requires all the necessary items that came with the car to be at one place. To make a car ready for sale it must include the following things in it. First thing to look for is the set of keys which includes master keys, valet key, and emergency key. The two master keys are the biggest keys and open all the locks in the car. Valet key only helps open the glove box start the ignition. The emergency key is only able to open doors when locked and these keys are not able to start the car. In case the owner has lost any of these keys he should immediately purchase them for a local dealer.

Other important things of used cars include the owner’s manual which originally came with the vehicle and if the customer has also lost the manual that can also be bought from any local dealer dealing in that particular make. Apart from what came with the car the owner of the car should also keep a record of repairs made to the vehicle, oil changes, inspections scheduled and any other thing he deems as a necessary belonging to the car.

After all the documentation of a used car is completed they can only be sold when clean. Buying used cars is a sentimental attachment and the seller should properly clean and detail the car by first washing then waxing and conditioning it.  The seller should focus on more visible parts of the car like its windows and mirrors and not minor parts which are merely inspect able like the inside mats to make the vehicle look clean and clear from an outside look.
