I Would if I Could
Business May 27th, 2010I was having coffee with my golf buddies early this morning at a small coffee house downtown. We were all laughing boisterously for what seem like a conversation about how stupid each other is. I was really indulged to the combination of a good coffee and a good conversation, which I don’t usually have when I work, when a girl came in. She did seem not to be affected by the loud laughter of my friends. She sat down in the table next to us facing the opposite way, opened her laptop and ordered a non-fat latte.
Suddenly, the world seemed so quiet. I was really awed at how confident she glided into the room. I was looking at her once in a while, wishing for a clue about where she works and what she do for a living. Her phone rang. She allowed the person in the other line speaks, and in a very authoritative voice she said “Okay. I will be signing them now. Come pick them up.” She hung up and pulled a check book. When she opened it, I saw that they were business checks. Payroll Checks to be exact.
Also, she pulled out another set of parchment personal checks, and signed some of them one after the other. Basing on the checks she is using, I can say that she is a very independent professional, strong-willed, and firm. I like girls like her. I actually would marry her right there if I could
