My friend has a Japanese girlfriend and he is an American. It was like oil and water. Both come from traditional families but both of them were cool about their relationship. They were popular in campus and they were both intelligent individuals whose only mistake was to love each other despite coming from different parts of the world. As a friend, I knew that it was extra painful for them to endure the criticisms of their families who are against their relationship. They seem very happy in campus. At times, they were same funny t shirts every Saturday to show the world how they love and care for each other despite the odds in the  their relationship.

So it seemed happy but every day, Akiko’s parents call her to break up with Johnson and it caused her so much stress that Johnson had to forego telling Akiko that his father also tells him to do so because as a war veteran, his father didn’t like Japan as a country.

Akiko and Johnson was to celebrate their anniversary together and I was thinking of an excellent gift for them. It has to be something unique and that they can use to profess their love. Ah, funny shirts since they love it so much. I bought them a couple’s shirt from this really nice website. It says: “I Love You like a Hangover”.
